GET TO KNOW ME
Hello! My name is Julia Gabrell, I am a graphic designer based out of Long Island, New York. I am currently a senior in the visual communications department at Farmingdale state college where I study Graphic Design. My college experience includes being a Communications intern for the RAM program where I mentor a sophomore graphic design student. I am the Vice President of the campus Discourse club where we believe that understanding another person’s perspective or an issue is vital to reaching common ground in our culture on vital discussions like, gun rights, abortion, climate change, mental health, and even immigration. Some of my values include authenticity, adventure, curiosity, creativity and success which often bleed from my personal life into my work. I have worked as a server and bartender for 4 years to strengthen my communication skills, as well as learned the ins and outs of the design industry with a local designer, Eugene Rogovitz. I enjoy creating Visual art forms and have knowledge in all Adobe programs such as Indesign, Illustrator, photoshop, XD, Lightroom, spark, and have extensive knowledge in procreate. I possess the power of strong creational thinking and have the ability to bring out the best features of any business. I love to dig deep into emotion and create a story through my designs.
